Drug Uses
Tadalift tablets are used to treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED) in men 18 years of age and above. Tadalift helps to increase blood flow to the penis and can help men with ED (Impotence) get and maintain a satisfactory erection for sexual activity. Once a man has completed sexual activity, blood flow to his penis gradually decreases, and his erection disappears. Some form of sexual stimulation is necessary for an erection to take place with Generic Tadalafil tablets.
Tadalift Tablets (Generic Tadalafil) – Contraindications
Tadalift tablets (Generic Tadalafil)are contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to the active ingredient Tadalafil or to any inactive ingredient present in Tadalift tablets.
Administration of Generic Tadalafil to patients using any form of organic nitrate is contraindicated since Tadalift was proven to potentiate the hypotensive effect of nitrates.
Generic Tadalafil Recommended Dosage

Drug Class and Mechanism
The erection of the Penis during sexual stimulation is caused by increased penile blood flow resulting from the relaxation of penile arteries and corpus cavernosal smooth muscle. This response is caused by the release of nitric oxide (NO) from nerve terminals and endothelial cells, which stimulates the synthesis of cGMP in smooth muscle cells.
Cyclic GMP causes smooth muscle relaxation as well as increased blood flow into the corpus cavernosum. The supression of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) increases erectile function by increasing the amount of cGMP. Tadalafil inhibits PDE5. Since sexual stimulation is required to begin the local release of nitric oxide, the inhibition of PDE5 by Tadalafil has no effect in the absence of sexual stimulation.

- There have been rare reports of prolonged erections greater than 4 hours and priapism (painful erections greater than 6 hours in duration) for this class of medicines. Priapism, if not treated immediately, may result in irreversible damage to the erectile tissue. Patients who have an erection lasting more than 4 hours, whether painful or not, should seek emergency medical attention.
- Doctors should advise patients to stop use of all phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, including Tadalift by Pfizer, and seek medical attention in the event of a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes. Such an event may be a sign of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a rare condition and a cause of decreased vision, including permanent loss of vision, that has been reported rarely with the use of all PDE5 inhibitors.
- Doctors should advise patients to stop taking PDE5 inhibitors, including Tadalift, and seek immediate medical attention in the event of sudden decrease or loss of hearing.
Side effects of Tadalift Tablets

- Musculoskeletal: arthralgia, neck pain
- Nervous: dizziness, hypesthesia, insomnia, paresthesia, somnolence, vertigo
- Renal and Urinary: renal impairment
- Respiratory: dyspnea, epistaxis, pharyngitis
- Skin and Appendages: pruritus, rash, sweating
- Ophthalmologic: blurred vision, changes in color vision, conjunctivitis (including conjunctival hyperemia), eye pain, lacrimation increase, swelling of eyelids
- Otologic: sudden decrease or loss of hearing, tinnitus
- Urogenital: erection increased, spontaneous penile erection

- Sudden decrease or loss of vision. Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a cause of decreased vision including permanent loss of vision, has been rarely reported postmarketing.
